Calf Scrambler - Courtney Gardner

Courtney Ann Gardner , with the Anna, FFA club.  Her Goody Girl Representative is Tanya Linquist and her Steer is named "Elvis".

Below is the text from her latest update to the team:

Dear Goody Girls,

This month is one of the busiest months! We are scrapbooking, essay writing, and all sorts of last minute preparations.  This was also a month I really starting thinking about Elvis. Elvis is a family member now and the thought of selling him to someone or eating him is a little harsh. We haven’t said anything to him about the sell or about his ride home. I am afraid that if I do he might stress before the show and we do not want that at all! We need him on his game and if he is going to be worrying about being butchered well I doubt that is a good way to keep his mind on things. We have told him we are going to the cookout on the 25th and he is excited for us to come back and tell him all about you! Can’t wait to see you and meet you in person!

God Bless!

Courtney Ann

Justin Pavlica with the Schulenburg FFA.  His Goody Girl Representative is Johnice Smith Evans.

Calf Scrambler - Shelbi Lyn Webb

Shelbi Lynn Webb is from Danbury, Texas and her Goody Girl Representative is Neva Kerr.

Shelbi and her calf Zeva win Reserve Breed Champion at the Brazoria County Fair 2011!

Zeva has really put the weight and hair on in the month since the fair.   With the two to three inches of hair she has grown Shelbi can't wait to see how she will look with her new haircut.    Zeva has an appointment set up for December for hoof trimming and to be clipped for the first of three major shows that she will be showing at in 2012.

Shelbi is currently researching bulls so that she can have Zeva bred in February to calf in November 2012.
